Citrix Workspace is a digital workspace software that enables you to access your virtual office tools. Developed by Citrix Systems, this productivity app is the mobile version of Citrix Workspace. It functions as a platform that lets you remotely operate a virtual desktop via your mobile device. Citrix Workspace offers the full capabilities of Citrix Receiver while also being fully backward-compatible with any Citrix infrastructure. Take note that you can only use this app if your company avails it.

Easy to use

Citrix Workspace is pretty straightforward with its use, as it allows you to access any software-as-a-service program, any application, all your files on the cloud, and even your entire virtual workspace on your phone or tablet. This helps with your productivity, even while on the go. The app also shows your activity, all actions you took, and easy customization for better navigation—which makes things flexible on your end. 

To start accessing the app, open it and tap on “Get Started.” You have to enter the server or email address that will be provided by your IT department. Enter your username and password and start selecting the applications that you’d like to use once you log in. If you’re a system admin, you can add multiple accounts by opening up Settings and tapping Manage Accounts. For editing or deleting accounts, tap on Store instead. 

For any issues, contact your company’s IT support for the problem first. Using the app, tap on Settings, then Support, and then Request Help from Support. You will be given a generated email with a log file that you need to send to your IT team. You can also report on the App Store by tapping the app’s reviews and then App Support. You’ll need an account to report on the Citrix forums.

More flexible with multiple URLs

A new feature that grants admins more control over user experience arrives in Citrix Workspace. The multiple workspace URLs update lets you create subdomains for your main URL, providing separate login portals for marketing, finance, and other departments or subsidiaries. Each subdomain can have its own customizable branding, applications, desktops, and even authentication methods. With a limit of 10 URLs, this update streamlines access management, potentially improves security, and offers a more tailored user experience.

Needs tuning on the touchscreen

Citrix Workspace prides itself on being user-friendly for any type of user and whatever device they may have. With just your mobile device, you can work with all the handy tools you need and avoid switching between apps back and forth. The app’s biggest problem is that it’s difficult to navigate the interface with touch, as you sometimes need accuracy to move the scroll bars and drop-down menus. Nevertheless, it’s a handy office program.
